Chris Smith’s 26-year-old girlfriend, Petara Cordero, passed away suddenly on September 11, 2019.
When Haven Harris Smith passed away, it had only been a few weeks after she and Cordero and Smith had welcomed their daughter into the world. She was murdered in an Ohio auto accident.
The cute couple, who had three children together, had been together for a very long period. Petara and Chris intended to be married.
The Cleveland Police Department reports that on September 11, 2019, at around two in the morning, Petara Cordero, a Topgolf event ambassador, passed away after Smith’s Lamborghini burst a tire and collided with a median wall.
Along the West 140th Street exit, there was an accident. Cordero was hit by a female-driven Mazda as the ex-couple got out of the vehicle. After she was taken to Fairview Hospital, doctors pronounced her dead.
The lady operating the Mazda was reportedly intoxicated. She tested positive for alcohol with a 0.08 percent level.
The Cleveland Browns released an announcement on their website. According to the statement, “Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for Chris following the death of his girlfriend, Petara.”
“The Cordero family, Chris, and our company are all in deep sorrow. In a statement, Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam said, “We will do everything in our power to give them resources, comfort, and support during this terrible time.”
According to Chris Smith, Petara Cordero is in a better place
Chris Smith sent a heartfelt statement in memory of Petara Cordero after losing his partner in an accident.
Smith added pictures of the couple’s priceless moments together and stated, “I don’t understand why her girlfriend was taken from me, but I understand she’s in a better place.”
He referred to Cordero as “my wifey, best friend, and the mother of my beautiful daughter,” saying, “God has a plan for every single one of us that we can’t understand, but she is in a better place now, and she can rest easy.”
He added the hashtag “stay strong” to his message, “Love you, baby,” perhaps alluding to Cordero’s chest tattoo.
Additionally, Smith revealed on his Instagram Story that he and several of his loved ones got the same phrases permanently inked on them.
The lady who hit Petara Cordero was not charged by the authorities. It has come to light that she did not speed or drive under the influence when she struck Smith’s vehicle.
While Smith and his girlfriend were outside their car, Cordero and the football player’s open passenger-side Lamborghini door were struck by a passing 2017 Mazda 3.
